Text
(a)The commission may design and
implement a plan for the establishment and development of park,
exposition, educational, athletic, and recreational projects to be located
within one (1) mile of the banks of the White River in a consolidated
city and county. The projects may include any of the following:
(1)Parks.
(2)Recreational facilities.
(3)Exposition facilities.
(4)Zoos, aquariums, aviaries, or other facilities for animal life.
(5)Facilities for entertainment, meetings, industrial and trade
shows, athletic events, and other displays and events of cultural,
educational, entertainment, and recreational value.
(6)Other facilities that the commission considers appropriate to
the general public welfare and to the cultural, recreational,
educational, or civic well-being of the public
