§ 12-30-7-30 — County contracting for health center services; official visitor; appointment; term of office; duties; board of visitors
Indiana·Art. 30 COUNTY HOMES AND OTHER COUNTY·Ch. 7 Health Centers in Allen County and St. Joseph County
(a)The board of commissioners of a
contracting county shall appoint an official visitor to the health center.
The term of office of the official visitor is three (3) years.
(b)The official visitor, in conjunction with the local board of health,
the tuberculosis and respiratory disease agencies of the contracting
county, or both, shall do the following:
(1)Prepare all of the papers and documents necessary for the
admission of the patient from the contracting county.
(2)Inspect and visit the patient in the patient's home and
investigate the patient's financial condition.
(3)Report the facts to the board of commissioners at the time of
the presentation of the admission papers for approval.
(c)The official visitor shall cause to be transported to and from the
