Text

The reimbursement obtained under section 1 of this chapter shall be collected quarterly by the superintendent of the county home in which the individual resides or resided, at a rate of not more than seven dollars ($7) per week. The money received shall be paid quarterly into the county general fund. The superintendent or executive officer may, under the direction of the board of commissioners of the county, bring suit against the estate of an individual described in section 1 of this chapter failing to make payment as required in this chapter. If a judgment is obtained in a suit brought under this section, the judgment constitutes a lien against the part of the estate that is described in the complaint.
