Text
(a)The director or a superintendent may
authorize one (1) or more officials of the division or the state institution
to request the assistance of other state, county, city, or town law
enforcement officers if necessary.
(b)If a law enforcement officer is on the property of the division by
virtue of a request under this section, the law enforcement officer
possesses all powers conferred by this chapter upon a security officer
appointed with police powers under this chapter in addition to the
powers otherwise conferred upon the law enforcement officer by
Indiana law.
