Indiana Statutes
§ 12-24-17-3 — Neglect, abuse, or maltreatment of a patient in a state institution; penalty
A person who:
(1)neglects, when the person has a duty of care;
(2)abuses; or
(3)maltreats;
an individual with a mental illness or an individual with a
developmental disability under the care of a state institution commits
a Class B misdemeanor.
