(a)Except as provided in section 52(3) of this chapter, if the management committee finds a claim to be valid and reasonable in whole or in part, the amount of the claim found to be valid and reasonable shall be paid from the distressed township's township assistance account as provided in section 40 of this chapter. If the management committee finds that a claim is invalid in whole or in part, the amount of the claim found to be invalid is void. The management committee shall mail a notice of the committee's determination to the creditor not more than ten (10) days after the determination is made. The notice must include a statement of the reasons for the determination.
