§ 12-17.2-3.8-5.1 — Initial appointments to committee; terms

1. (a) As used in this section, "committee"
refers to the early learning advisory committee established by section
5 of this chapter.
(b) The term of a member who was appointed to the committee
before April 1, 2022, expires on April 1, 2022.
(c) Not later than June 30, 2022, the applicable appointing
authorities shall appoint members to the committee in accordance with
section 5 of this chapter.
(d) The initial appointments by the governor described in section
5(b)(3) of this chapter shall begin not later than July 1, 2022, and the
initial terms of the members initially appointed under section 5(b)(3)
of this chapter are as follows:
(1) The members appointed under section 5(b)(3)(A), 5(b)(3)(C),
5(b)(3)(D), and 5(b)(3)(G) of this chapter shall serve an initial
term of two (2) years.
(2) The members appointed under section 5(b)(3)(B), 5(b)(3)(E),
and 5(b)(3)(F) of this chapter shall serve an initial term of three
(3) years.
(e) This section expires January 1, 2026.
