§ 12-15-41-2 — "Countable resources"
As used in this chapter, "countable resources" means all cash, other liquid assets, real property, and personal property owned by an applicant for or a recipient of Medicaid under this chapter, or the spouse of an applicant or a recipient, that could be converted to cash to be used for support or maintenance, except the following:
(1)All resources disregarded by the office under this article for
the purpose of determining eligibility for Medicaid.
(3)Subject to approval by the office, not more than twenty
thousand dollars ($20,000) in independence and self-sufficiency
