§ 12-15-39.6-7 — Information on long term care insurance; availability; assistance

(a) The department of insurance or the
agency with which the department of insurance has contracted under
section 6(b) of this chapter shall make available to any individual
interested in participating in a long term care program information
concerning the following:
(1) The Indiana long term care program established under this
chapter.
(2) The Indiana long term care insurance partnership program
established under IC 12-15-39.8.
(3) Long term care insurance policies, including:
(A) qualified long term care policies that meet the definition set
forth in section 5 of this chapter; and
(B) qualified long term care insurance policies that meet the
definition set forth in IC 12-15-39.8-3.
(4) Medicare supplement insurance policies.
(5) Parts A and B of the Medicare program (42 U.S.C. 1395 et
seq.).
(6) Health maintenance organizations under IC 27-13 that are
contracted with the Medicare program.
(7) The Medicaid program.
(b) If an individual elects to pursue any of the options under
subsection (a), the department of insurance shall assist the individual
in doing so.
