Text
(a)As used in this section, "solicitation"
means a direct communication initiated by a provider doing business
in Indiana to an individual or a provider in another state with the intent
of inducing a nonresident of Indiana to relocate the person's residence
to Indiana for the purpose of obtaining Medicaid under Title XIX of the
federal Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396 et seq.).
(b)A provider that is:
(1)licensed by the state; and
(2)doing business in Indiana;
may not make a solicitation to a person who is eligible for Medicaid
under Title XIX of the federal Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396 et
seq.).
