7.

(a)Before September 1, 2025, the office of the secretary shall apply to the United States Department of Health and Human Services for an amendment to each home and community based services Medicaid waiver to, when determining eligibility for an individual and the individual's spouse who have both applied for a home and community based services Medicaid waiver, use an asset limit threshold that equals the asset limit for a single individual multiplied by two (2).
(b)The office of the secretary shall implement the changes in determining eligibility for a home and community based services Medicaid waiver specified in subsection (a) beginning on the date on which the United States Department of Health and Human Services approves the request for changes by the office of the secretary under
