Text

(a)The office may enter into an agreement with the Commissioner of the United States Social Security Administration under which the Commissioner shall accept applications and make determinations of eligibility for Medicaid for individuals who are aged, individuals who are blind, and individuals with a disability in accordance with the standards and criteria established by the state plan for Medicaid.
(b)The office may request the United States Department of Health and Human Services to approve Indiana's transition, beginning January 1, 2014, as a state that determines eligibility for individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled under Medicaid based on Section 1634 of the federal Social Security Act.
