Text
As used in this chapter, "human services" means services provided by government or nonprofit organizations to ensure the health and well-being of Indiana citizens. The term includes, but is not limited to, services designed to do any of the following:
(1)Provide relief or assistance after a natural or nonnatural
disaster.
(2)Assist parents with stress issues.
(3)Assist persons in efforts to address and reduce instances of
emotional and physical abuse, including domestic violence and
sexual assault.
(4)Assist persons in efforts to reduce the rate of infant mortality.
(5)Direct persons to services providing assistance to veterans,
senior citizens, and vulnerable children.
(6)Assist persons with respect to public health issues, including:
(A)health epidemics;
(B)mental, physical, and
