5.If a school corporation or charter school (or a coalition of public schools applying jointly) indicates on an application under section 5 of this chapter that the school corporation or charter school (or coalition of public schools applying jointly) requests, in addition to the matching grant under this chapter, an advance under IC 20-49-10, the board shall review the application and may make recommendations to the state board to approve or deny an advance in the manner prescribed in IC 20-49-10-6.
