Text

(a)The department shall prescribe and collect such fees as may be established by regulation for radiation protection services provided under this chapter. Fees collected under this section shall be deposited in the fire and building services fund established under IC 22-12-6-1. Services for which fees may be established include the following:
(1)Registration of sources of radiation.
(2)Issuance, amendment, and renewal of licenses for radioactive materials.
(3)Inspections of registrants or licensees.
(4)Environmental surveillance activities to assess the radiological impact of activities conducted by licensees.
(b)In determining rates of such fees, the department shall, as an objective, obtain sufficient funds therefrom to reimburse the state for all or a substantial portion of the di
