Text

The board of public works of a city may grant the use of any structure or any part of a structure constructed by the city, with or without rent or charge, to any organization of soldiers, sailors, marines, and others as a place or places of their meetings and headquarters, for the time and upon the conditions as the board of public works may determine. The board of public works may also grant the use of the structure for any other lawful public purpose not inconsistent with this chapter for which the structure may be suitable, either with or without rent or charge, as the board of public works determines.
