Text
(a)The commission:
(1)has general control of the State Soldiers' and Sailors'
Monument Circle; and
(2)may employ a superintendent.
(b)The superintendent may, with the advice and consent of the
commission, appoint engineers, elevator operators, electricians, and
watchmen as are actually required, all of whom are subject to removal
at any time by the commission for any reason satisfactory to the
commission.
(c)The superintendent:
(1)has direct charge and supervision of the monument and
Monument Circle, subject to the orders of the commission; and
(2)may require watchmen to act as elevator operators and
elevator operators to act as watchmen.
(d)The superintendent and the engineers, watchmen, and elevator
operators have police powers with all powers of a constable.
