Text

(a)A dependent of a prisoner of war or person missing in action, upon the person's acceptance for enrollment in a state educational institution, may obtain a bachelor's degree or certificate of completion without tuition or charge as long as the dependent is eligible.
(b)A dependent is entitled to the benefits of this chapter notwithstanding any circumstance, including the return or the reported death of the dependent's parent or guardian who had been declared a prisoner of war or a person missing in action. [Pre-2003 Recodification Citation: 10-5-16.5-3.]
