Text

(a)A person who is:
(1)less than twenty-one (21) years of age; and
(2)authorized to participate in the rights, privileges, and benefits conferred by the federal Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944, as amended, and other acts of Congress granting a right, privilege, or benefit to veterans; and the minor spouse of a person described in subdivisions (1) and (2) may execute a contract that is necessary to the full realization of the rights, privileges, and benefits conferred under the federal law if the person is otherwise competent to enter into agreements and contracts.
(b)A contract entered into under subsection (a) by a person who is less than eighteen (18) years of age has the same force and effect as contractual obligations of a person who is at least eighteen (18) years of age. [P
