Text
If a part of the Indiana national guard or a person lawfully aiding the Indiana national guard in the performance of its duty as described in this chapter is attacked or in imminent danger of attack, the commanding officer:
(1)is not required to await orders from a civil authority; and
(2)may quell the attack, disperse the attacking party, and take any
other necessary step for the safety of the officer's command.
