§ 10-16-2-6 — Adjutant general
(a)The governor shall appoint the adjutant
general.
(b)The adjutant general must hold the rank of not less than
brigadier general.
(c)The governor may increase the rank of the adjutant general not
to exceed the rank of major general as a reward for efficient and loyal
service to the state.
