Text

(a)Except as provided in subsection (b), a member of the department may not accept:
(1)a fee for the performance of an act in the line of duty; or
(2)a reward offered for the apprehension or conviction of any person or persons or for the recovery of any property.
(b)Any fee or reward to which a member of the department would be entitled except for the provisions of subsection (a) shall be paid to the police benefit fund. [Pre-2003 Recodification Citation: 10-1-2-8.]
