Text

(a)The department shall use not more than fifty percent (50%) of the money deposited in the fund during a state fiscal year to award grants to county, city, and town law enforcement agencies that agree to use the money to investigate Internet crimes against children in accordance with United States Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Operational and Investigative Standards.
(b)The department shall establish:
(1)the amounts of grants awarded under this section; and
(2)criteria used to award grants under this section, which may include any of the following:
(A)The geographic location and population of the jurisdiction of a law enforcement agency.
(B)The number of reports of Internet crimes against children within the jurisdiction of a law enforcement agency.
