The first Saturday of each month is designated as Eat Local, Buy Illinois Products Day to promote local food initiatives and Illinois agribusiness and to encourage residents to re-invest in the local economy. The Department of Agriculture's Illinois Product Logo Program shall assist in increasing awareness and sales of Illinois food and agribusiness products.
