Text
Notification and release or discharge of sex offender or sexual predator upon conviction for a felony offense committed after July 1, 2011. A person with a duty to register under paragraph (2.1) of subsection (c) of Section 3, who is released on probation or conditional discharge for conviction on a felony offense committed on or after July 1, 2011, shall, prior to release be notified of his or her duty to register as set forth in Section 5 of this Act. A person with a duty to register under paragraph (2.1) of subsection (c) of Section 3 who is discharged, paroled, or released from a Department of Corrections facility or other penal institution shall be notified of his or her duty to register as set forth in Section 4 of this Act.
