The purpose of this Article is to create within the Department of Juvenile Justice the Office of Independent Juvenile Ombudsperson for the purpose of securing the rights of youth committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice and county-operated juvenile detention centers, including youth released on aftercare before final discharge.
