Text
Subject to appropriations or other funding, the Department may establish a pilot program at various locations in the State to place persons discharged from a Department facility on parole or mandatory supervised release in jobs or otherwise establish a connection between such persons and the workforce. One such location must be at Waukegan, in Lake County. By rule, the Department shall determine the locations in which the pilot program is to be implemented and the services to be provided. In determining locations for the pilot program, however, the Department shall give priority to areas of the State in which the concentration of released offenders is the highest. The Department may consult with the Department of Human Services in establishing the pilot program.
