Text

The Bureau of Pharmacy and Clinical Support Systems shall establish a form to allow EHR systems to certify the identity of a third party that will provide access to the Prescription Information Library for the EHR system using all or part of a computer program or system that is a federally certified Health IT Module for the EHR system. Before the Health IT Module is permitted to connect to the Prescription Information Library, it must enter into a business associate agreement with the EHR system that requires the Health IT Module to agree to adhere to all requirements imposed on the EHR system by the laws of this State, including data privacy and security obligations that the Bureau otherwise imposes on EHR systems.
