§ 79 — Manner and time of letting of contracts
Except as otherwise provided in Section 9-2-113 of the Illinois Municipal Code, as now or hereafter amended, within 6 months after judgment of confirmation of any special assessment or special tax levied in pursuance of this Act has been entered, if there is no appeal perfected, or other stay of proceedings by a court having jurisdiction, or in case the judgment for the condemnation of any property for any such improvement, or the judgment of confirmation as to any property is appealed from, then, if the petitioner files in the cause a written election to proceed with the work, notwithstanding the appeal, or other stay, steps shall be taken to let the contract for the work in the manner provided in this Act.
