Text

(a)With respect to monies appropriated in the annual appropriation ordinance which are generated from the levy of real estate taxes or the charge not to exceed $.70 that a forest preserve district is authorized to impose under Section 18.6a of this Act for the purpose of establishing and maintaining Landfill Expense Funds for landfills operated by the district, the Board of Commissioners may, upon a two-thirds vote of all the members constituting the board, make transfers from one appropriation in a fund to another appropriation within the same fund, not affecting the total amount appropriated. Nothing in this subsection shall prohibit or limit the transfer of interest earned on the Landfill Expense Funds as provided for in Section 18.6b of this Act.
