§ 5-3-8

Under the general supervision and administrative control of the manager, there shall be such departments as the council or village board may prescribe by ordinance. All officers of any city or village shall take and subscribe the oath required by Section 5-3-9. All such officers, except the mayor, president, alderpersons, councilmen, and trustees, shall execute bonds in the manner provided by Section 5-3-9, which bonds shall be filed with the clerk of the council or clerk of the village board.
