Text

Non-domiciled commercial learner's permit and non-domiciled commercial driver's license.

(a)The Secretary of State may issue a non-domiciled CLP or non-domiciled CDL to a domiciliary of a foreign jurisdiction if the United States Secretary of Transportation has determined that the commercial motor vehicle testing and licensing standards, in that foreign jurisdiction, do not meet the testing standards established in 49 C.F.R. Part 383. A non-domiciled CLP or non-domiciled CDL shall be issued in accordance with the testing and licensing standards contained in subparts F, G, and H of 49 C.F.R. Part 383. The word "Non-domiciled" must appear on the face of the non-domiciled CLP or non-domiciled CDL. A driver applicant must surrender any non-domiciled CLP or non-domiciled CDL, license or permit
