§ 3-615 — Honorary Consular license plate

The Secretary, upon receipt of an application made on the form prescribed by the Secretary of State, may issue Illinois Honorary Consular license plates to any person who is a non-resident and an official or employee of the Coordination Council for North American Affairs as recognized in the Taiwan Relation Act, Public Law 96-8, and serving that instrumentality and temporarily residing in this State. The special plates issued under this Section shall be affixed only to passenger vehicles of the first division, motorcycles, autocycles, and motor vehicles of the second division weighing not more than 8,000 pounds.
