(a)Whenever any person after making application for or obtaining the registration of a vehicle shall move from the address named in the application or shown upon a registration card such person shall within 10 days thereafter notify the Secretary of State of his or her old and new address. (a-5) A police officer, a deputy sheriff, an elected sheriff, a law enforcement officer for the Illinois State Police, or a fire investigator who, in accordance with Section 3-405, has furnished the address of the office of the headquarters of the governmental entity or police district where he or she works instead of his or her domicile address shall, within 10 days after he or she is no longer employed by that governmental entity or police district as a police officer, a deputy sheriff, an elected she
