Text

The Department of Transportation shall notify the county superintendent of highways of each county of the apportionment and allotment under Section 6-901 for the purposes stated in Sections 6-901, 6-902 and 6-903, as soon as possible after the allotment is made. Any payment made pursuant to such apportionment may be utilized by the county in accordance with the needs of the county in a manner satisfactory to the Department. However, if any county, after having been given reasonable notice by the Department, fails to expend such funds in a manner satisfactory to the Department, no further payment of such funds shall be made to such county for bridge construction purposes until it corrects its unsatisfactory use of such funds.
