Text
To the extent that moneys in the township general fund have not been appropriated for other purposes, the township board may direct that distributions be made from that fund as follows:
(1)To (i) school districts maintaining grades 1 through 8 that are wholly or partly located within the township or (ii) governmental units as defined in Section 1 of the Community Mental Health Act that provide mental health facilities and services (including facilities and services for persons with intellectual disabilities) under that Act within the township, or (iii) both.
(2)To community action agencies that serve township residents. "Community action agencies" are defined as in Part A of Title II of the federal Economic Opportunity Act of 1964.
