§ 6-21002 — Tax for county fair purposes
Whenever a petition signed by 100 taxpayers of any county is presented to the county board of such county of less than 1,000,000 population requesting the submission of a proposition whether or not, an annual tax of not to exceed .05 per cent of the value, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, of all taxable property in such county shall be levied upon all the taxable property of such county for the purpose of creating and maintaining a fund for county fair purposes, such county board shall adopt a resolution for the submission of such proposition at the next regular election held in such county.
