Text
Each deputy shall, before entering upon the duties of his or her office, take and subscribe an oath or affirmation, in like form as is required of sheriffs, which shall be filed in the office of the county clerk. A sheriff, in addition to any other person authorized by law, may administer the oath of office required of a deputy sheriff.
