§ 3-6007 — Training

Each sheriff shall obtain at least 20 hours of training, approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board, relating to law enforcement and the operation of a sheriff's office each year. Reasonable expenses incurred by the sheriff in obtaining such training shall be reimbursed by the county upon presentation by the sheriff to the county board of a certificate of completion from the person or entity conducting such training.
