Text
(a)Upon receipt of the resolution, the proper election officials shall place the proposition on the ballot of a special election but not at a general election, called by the governing body of the metropolitan area. At the election, the proposition shall be submitted in substantially the following form: Shall the Quad Cities Interstate Metropolitan Authority be established effective on (date)? (b) Notice of the election shall be given by publication as required in the Election Code in a newspaper of general circulation in the metropolitan area. At the election, the ballot used for submission of the proposition shall be substantially the form for submitting special questions at general elections.
