(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 28.
(a)The Agency shall require each person who possesses or uses a source of ionizing radiation to maintain records relating to its receipt, storage, transfer or disposal and such other records as the Agency may require, subject to such exemptions as may be provided by rules or regulations.
(b)Unless they are transferred directly to the patient or the patient's physician, mammography images or films shall be retained by the provider of the mammography service for a minimum of 60 months. Mammography images or films transferred to a patient's physician shall be retained by the physician for a minimum of 60 months. These retention periods are a minimum and shall not reduce any other medical record retention requirements established
