§ 48

(a) Whenever the Board has adopted regulations respecting the equipment, specifications, use, inspection, or sale of vehicles, vessels, or aircraft, no department or agency shall license any such vehicles, vessels, or aircraft for operation in this State in the absence of such proof as the Board may prescribe that the equipment in question satisfies the Board's regulations. (b) Whenever the Board has adopted regulations limiting vehicle, vessel, or aircraft operations to essential or other classes of use under certain conditions, the department or agency responsible for the licensing shall issue indicia of such use, subject to standards prescribed by the Board, for each vehicle, vessel, or aircraft qualifying therefor.
