Contributions for widow's annuity for widows of present employees, future entrants and re-entrants.
(a)Beginning on the effective date as to a present employee in paragraph (a) or (c) of Section 9-109, or as to a future entrant in paragraph (a) of Section 9-110, and beginning on September 1, 1935, as to a present employee in paragraph (b) (1) of Section 9-109 or as to a future entrant in paragraph (b) or (d) of Section 9-110, and beginning from the date of becoming a contributor as to any present employee in paragraph (b) (2) or (d) of Section 9-109, or any future entrant in paragraph (c) or (e) of Section 9-110, there shall be deducted and contributed by each male employee 1%, and from and after January 1, 1966, 1 1/2%, of each payment of salary for widow's annuity.
