§ 8-240 — Certain funds superseded

On January 1, 1960 the fund herein provided for shall supersede the funds created by the Court and Law Department Employees' Annuity Act and the Board of Election Commissioners Employees' Annuity Act, and shall have transferred to it the assets of the funds under said Acts. All annuities or benefits allowed prior to January 1, 1960, by the respective Boards of Trustees of such superseded funds and all claims pending prior to such date which thereafter are allowed according to the law establishing the respective superseded funds by the board herein provided for shall from and after such date be paid by the board from the fund herein provided for according to the law under which the same were allowed.
