Text
(a)Beginning January 1, 2016, the city shall be obligated to contribute to the Fund in each fiscal year an amount not less than the amount determined annually under subsection (a) of Section 6-165 of this Code. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, if the city fails to pay the amount guaranteed under this Section on or before December 31 of the year in which such amount is due, the Fund may bring a mandamus action in the Circuit Court of Cook County to compel the city to make the required payment, irrespective of other remedies that may be available to the Fund.
