Text
(a)The Department shall develop and implement a demonstration project to allow for the use of a risk assessment tool to assist in identifying elderly persons, including homebound persons, who may be experiencing elder abuse, abandonment, neglect, or exploitation and providing the necessary support to address elder abuse, abandonment, neglect, or exploitation. The Department shall finalize planning on the demonstration project no later than December 1, 2023 with implementation beginning no later than January 1, 2024. The risk assessment tool shall identify (i) the level of risk for elder abuse, abandonment, neglect, or exploitation;
(ii)risk factors causing the abuse, abandonment, neglect, or exploitation; and (iii) appropriate follow-up and action in response to any suspected abuse, aban
