Notwithstanding any other provision of this Article, a managed care organization under contract with the Department to provide services to recipients of medical assistance shall provide coverage for all tobacco cessation medications approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration, all individual and group tobacco cessation counseling services, and all telephone-based counseling services and tobacco cessation medications provided through the Illinois Tobacco Quitline. The Department may adopt any rules necessary to implement this Section.
