Text
Any person who has established his residence in this State and lives therein, including any person who is a migrant worker, may qualify for medical assistance. A person who, while temporarily in this State, suffers injury or illness endangering his life and health and necessitating emergency care, may also qualify. Temporary absence from the State shall not disqualify a person from maintaining his eligibility under this Article. As used in this Section, "migrant worker" means any person residing temporarily and employed in Illinois who moves seasonally from one place to another for the purpose of employment in agricultural activities, including the planting, raising, or harvesting of any agricultural or horticultural commodities and the handling, packing, or processing of such commodities
