(Section scheduled to be repealed on June 30, 2029) Sec. 8l. Certification recognition. Notwithstanding any rule or provision of law to the contrary, the Business Enterprise Program shall recognize and accept the certifications of businesses that have been certified as minority-owned businesses or women-owned businesses by the City of Chicago, Cook County, or other entities approved by the Business Enterprise Council for purposes of participating in the Business Enterprise Program, provided that the City of Chicago, Cook County, or other entities approved by the Business Enterprise Council have certification requirements more restrictive than that required by the Business Enterprise Program under this Act, including, but not limited to, an income level requirement.
