(Text of Section before amendment by P.A. 104-131 ) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 8.37. State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund.

(a)The State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund is created as a special fund in the State Treasury.
(b)Grants or surcharge funds allocated to the Illinois State Police from the Statewide 9-1-1 Fund shall be deposited into the State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund and shall be used in accordance with Section 30 of the Emergency Telephone System Act.
(c)On July 1, 1999, the State Comptroller and State Treasurer shall transfer $1,300,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund. On June 30, 2003 the State Comptroller and State Treasurer shall transfer $1,300,000 from the State P
